As long as you are a youth, living in any geographical location in the world, you surely must have come in contact with the “discover your purpose” phrase.
And if you have— which I’m certain of— you may/may not have tried and discovered that it is such an overwhelming process— it tears you down, you feel lost and confused and a whole lot of yada yada yada.
How overwhelming that journey is may or may not necessarily be part of the process; however, it is, and is indeed, one of the common grounds we relate on.
It’s almost like if you don’t feel lost— almost falling into depression— and question your entire existence, you haven’t begun asking the question of “why am I here?”
I know you’ve attended a lot of seminars and read a lot of books on the issue of purpose; so, well, let’s look at it from a different angle. Nothing spectacular or new, just a different approach.

At a Bootcamp some weeks back, I taught on “partnership and purpose.”
The long and short of the whole story is that your purpose [on earth] becomes clearer when you are in partnership [with a force higher than you]— most likely, your creator.
Think of it this way; if I were a fashion designer, and I created this particular dress which had a mind of its own (absurd, but follow me).
And then after I was done creating it, I had this smile and feeling of accomplishment. And then, this client comes to pay for the dress. I try to warm my creation that it’s use doesn’t fit the client’s occasion, but this dress follows on either way.
What was then meant to be a ball dress, was used to go clubbing. This is such a weird story, but I can tell you that if it was indeed real, one of the many emotions that dress would feel is ‘out of place’.
Isn’t that how you feel sometimes when the overwhelming questions of “what is my purpose” or “why am I here” hits you?
I know I have felt out of place a lot of times. It felt like everyone else had this thing called “life” figured out; yet, there I was wallowing in deep wells I’m of confusion and wondering where the heck my own place is.
So, there, partnership and purpose. Don’t be that dress, assuming you can have everything all figured out on your own. Go back to your creator and find out.
Your unique identity is actualized when you partner. Truth, when you walk in exact purpose, things work for your good…without stress (story for another day).
If you’ve strayed off the path already, great news is there are still a million ‘second chances’ to try again.
Finding purpose is indeed, a long walk to FREEDOM! And hey, it’s an individual path as well.
PS: you can’t effectively and conveniently do life on the wrong path.
