A few days ago, I moved to a new city— temporarily perhaps. Prior to my relocation, I had a lot of fears and worries. Well, that’s quite common but then, these nagging worries never let me have a moment’s peace.
Because my new neighborhood is a Hausa and Muslim-dominated area, I worried about getting a church well grounded in the Word and worship to fellowship with. I also worried that even if there were such churches in the state, they were probably going to be so far and I’d end up never locating any because well, I’m an indoor person and never up for an exploration adventure.
While I worried, I never once put it in my prayers; rather, I came up with plan B— to sit in my new house and stream a service from this particular Church I really love, every Sunday. There! That issue was finally settled.
A lot happened within the week. Fast forward to today, Sunday, I went to church, lol. A long string of events led me staying with a wonderful family through the week. And this morning, we drove to church— just two of us. As service began, I knew within me that I had found ‘home’ without searching.

Yesterday, I read somewhere that there are two ways the Kingdom (of God) does come (to a person). Either you go out seriously in search, or somehow, you stumble upon it. In my case, it was the latter.

Here are a few things I learnt personally from this; I only thought to share.
1. God is everywhere. Indeed, if you genuinely search for Him from wherever in the world you are, you will find Him.
2. He knows what we need as well as our worries even before we ask and He makes provision accordingly even before we ask.
3. Cast your cares upon Him, always. Never stay burdened with worry, fear, anxiety and what have you. Cast them upon Him, He delights in carrying the load for and with you.
A lot of Scriptures are becoming clearer to me and I’m excited. While thinking of how I got to ‘stumble’ on this church without actively seeking, the phrase “…your heavenly Father knows you have need of these” kept ringing in my heart. And I knew, and was sure more than anything, that that was my heavenly Father knowing my need and making provision for me.

Service was wonderful today, hope yours was too?
Cheers to steady growth.
Sending love and light your way,
Zoey.
